The American Bar Association (ABA) has published a book explaining state regulations about workplace drug and alcohol testing ("Bar Association Book Outlines State Laws Workplace Drug, Alcohol Testing (sic)," National Report on Substance Abuse, Mar. 16, 1995, p. 3).

Fundamentals for Employment Law outlines current employment practices in individual states, including what tests employers can use in states and procedural requirements for testing. The book also cites legislation and case law that have helped to formulate testing procedures around the country.
